Paige Perkins’ work reflects a personal folklore in which the boundaries between human and animal, fantasy and reality, dissolve. Her paintings reveal a visionary world where time and space unfold according to a strange, dreamlike logic, drawing on darker sources such as myths, pagan mysticism, and fairy tales. Informed by an animistic worldview, Perkins’ process is rooted in the collective unconscious, allowing intuitive imagery to surface and manifest on the canvas. Titles possess a particular significance, arriving as a kind of psychic download, or discovered instinctively upon the completion of each work.

Born in the United States, Perkins lives and works between London and Warwickshire, UK. She studied Liberal Arts at Sarah Lawrence College in Bronxville, New York, earning a BA in 1983, and later completed an MA in Fine Art at the University of Brighton, UK, in 2007. From 2014 to 2016, she participated in the Painting Programme at TURPS Banana, London, UK. Perkins is co-founder of LaLa International Art Collective, established in 2018.
